Transportation to Downtown Minneapolis
Welcome to Minneapolis! Getting around the city is straightforward and accessible, whether you’re arriving by plane, train, car, or touring around.
Light Rail Transit
Terminal 1: Follow the signs to baggage claim, then take the escalator down to the tram. Ride the tram to the Red/Blue Ramps and take the escalators down to reach the METRO Blue Line platform.
Terminal 2: Use the escalator near Ticketing to reach the Orange Ramp skyway. Follow the signs to the light-rail station and go down one level to the platform.

Bus System
There are city-wide buses with fares ranging from $2-$3.25, depending on the time of day.
“Free ride” buses are available and operate around the Nicollet Mall area.
Driving & Parking

Terminal 1: Follow signs to baggage claim, then go down to Tram Level (Level T). Signs will guide you to the Ground Transport Center one level up, where staff at the taxi booth can help you get a cab.
Terminal 2: Taxi service is available at the Ground Transport Center on the ground level of the Purple Ramp, directly across from the terminal.
